I cant say that I like Mark but I would never wish anything bad on anyone. |
Why should we care that someone who has deliberately threatened our recreation and health for years is now giving up his? If that's what it takes to get him out of our face and space, so be it. Do I wish these guys harm? Nope; I'd prefer they join the human race voluntarily. Until then, better them than me. They made their bed; they can damn well lie in it.

Including the realization that being laid up -- which he deliberately threatens others with on a daily basis -- is no fun.

Wow,
You guys know how to kick a dog whens he's down.
Mark has always been an "in your face" windsurfer and kiteboarder for whatever reason. I understand why that threatens people and they may not like him but celebrating a life-changing injury is pretty lame.
Maybe you could take a tip from the kiteboarding community and not say anything if you can't be positive.
I didn't see a single kiteboarder take a pot shot while "hiding" in their forum and like I said he rides the same way kiting as he does sailing.
Peace

I couldn't agree more. That's exactly what I thought. I mean, come on people, "The Dangler" (Mark) has made a name for himself by not only harassing people, but harassing people with less abliltiy than himself. Its been more than "in your face". He has constantly stepped way over the line, and it is this behaviour that is giving him notoriety. Stauda, I don't know if you realize how hypocritical your post is (its a negative post that says people should not post negative posts, brilliant! ), but maybe "The Dangler" can take a tip from the windsurfing community, and not be on the water at all if he can't be positive. This whole "I understand why that threatens people" is a load of crap. Grow up. "The Dangler", you, me or anyone else should have enough awareness to know when our behaviour is negatively affecting people on the water. Why should there be an out-pouring of compassion to someone who clearly showed none to many of the people he encountered on the water? Could you also pass on your "Peace" message to Mark? I think he's the one that really needs to take your little sermon to heart. |

He's got a more interesting background than you would expect.
It's wasn't that hard to stay out of his way ( when he sailed).
It's impolite to kick a guy when he's down but I can't blame those who need to vent.
Get well soon. |
