Pepi, Erica, & the crew at Second Wind ran around non-stop at Windfest to help pull that off. As a gear purchaser I totally appreciate that event. (Thought I'd add that to the thank-you list, along with all the other worthy names.) |

What does Second Wind and Windfest have to do with the Freestyle Frenzy? Just curious. |

Royn Jason and everyone who helped get this contest going, I cant thank you enough. And i have never been to a contest that ran as smoothly as this one. It was so much fun to be a part of, but I know it took months of emails and phone calls to get this thing going. Thanks again guys

We at the Gorge Surf Shop would like to send huge thanks to Jason and Windy Boy!!! They did a great job - the event went off without a hitch. They contributed a lot of time and energy that the entire windsurfing community should be grateful for. There has been much talk about getting an event back in the Gorge and those two stepped up to the plate! THANK YOU!! |

Here are additional Kudos to everyone who made the Freestyle Frenzy go off as well as it did -- the organizer(s), the competitors, & the spectators, too.

Royn is da MAN!!!!!!!
He organized and ran the most successful Gorge Windfest in history, and then went on to run the Freestyle Frenzy only 5 days later.
The 2nd Wind crew participated as a retail demo shop at the Windfest and a sponsor of the Freestyle Frenzy. We are grateful for all of the hardwork that Royn has put into our local events.
Everyone should know how important these events are to our local windsurf community and for our local business community(which for some reason consistently seems to think that these events are not that important. We see it differently).
Also, some big props for the new CGWA Exec Director Katie Crafts for all of her hard work in promoting the Windfest and running one of the biggest Pray for Wind parties that I've witnessed in years.
Keep up the stoke and see you all on the water!

Windfest was great. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the Freestyle Frenzy but I certainly appreciate the fact that the Gorge was able to host such an event. Thanks.
Also, props to the CGWA for their continued work on beach access, especially this year regarding the sandbar/Event Site/Lot 6. |
