Where do all the windsurfers hang out at? I'm still a beginner I have a wide style board and a 7.5 ride sail, I've only been to Buckroe Beach, is there any other places I could sail at? I've been to the Windsurfshop in Buckroe but it's closed every time I stop by, lil help! |

The local club, Windsurfing Enthusiast of Tidewater, runs Sunday sail's at Mill Creek at Ft. Monroe over the summer. This should be ideal for you as the place is beginner friendly; sheltered with flat water. You DO need foot protection. License, registration and all the stickers on your car need to be up to date, otherwise you'll get turned away at the gate at the Fort.
As far as Beach Sports is concerned: I recommend you call ahead for shop hours. Phone numbers on beachsports.net. |
