What does Mother's Day and Windsurfing have in common? You can do both if you take your Mom to the Mayo Mega Demo on Sunday or go a day early and visit it on Saturday. May 12 & 13 at Mayo Beach Park, near Annapolis Maryland. See the following for directions and info:
http://windsurfbaba.org/
http://www.eastofmauiboardshop.com/calendar/

The demo is presented by Marc Rosen, East of Maui Boardsahop, Mayo Wind, and Aix sponsa. Demo gear from EZZY Sails, HiFly Boards, Chinook Sailing Products, DAKINE, to name a few. (Almost) the entire HiFly board line up will be available for your testing pleasures. Try out a carbon boom or a skinny mast. Check out the new EZZY Freeride or a new DAKINE harness. In additon to the Hifly line there will be an Exocet Kona, and a Bic Hybrid available to demo. There will also be a Jimmy Lewis Stand-Up Paddle board to demo.
This is a free Demo but you must pay a $5.00 park entry fee if you are not a Mayo Wind member (Mayo Beach is a permit only launch but when a windsurfing event is scheduled non-members are encouraged to check out how nice of a launch site it is.)
Rain or shine, the Demo starts 11AM on Saturday and 10AM on Sunday. In honor of Mother's Day we will be playing music by The Mothers of Invention.

10 am Mayo Update
I just returned from dropping off gear at the beach, and it was blowing about 12.
In addition to a bunch of Hifly boards, we have a Kona, a Bic Hybrid, and the Starboard Phantom at the demo.
We have several Ezzy Infinity's and Freerides , a Naish Boxer SL, and a Severne Gator.
I took a quick spin this morning on the Jimmy Lewis Paddle board. It was a little tough paddling into the wind, but "surfing " downwind back to the beach was sweet!
Weather permitting, the demo will run until about 4 pm today.
If you can't make today, we will be at Mayo from 10-3 Sunday .

Aloha, Mark B
East of Maui
