I just got back from La Ventana. There are many great places to stay. If youre looking for cheaper accomodations with a great community atmosphere, go to Baja Joes. Bunk rooms are only $30/night or $40 for two people. They have two community kitchens. If you want a very nice place to stay (luxury), go with Ventana Windsurf. They have incredible rooms, a great hot tub, cook breakfast, lunch and 3 dinners a week for you and the stay includes your gear. Rooms from $80+ night.
I would also recommend Baja Mahal (Casa Verde) for rentals ~$80/night. There are a number of other places you can stay, but Baja Joes and Baja Mahal are right next to Ventana Windsurf - where you will definitely wnat to rent your gear.
Ventana Windsurf has amazing gear. Lots of new boards and sails. Many are rigged on skinny masts and most of the gear is 05/06.
Have fun and happy sailing. The water is the warmest I can remember in the last 4 years!
