Mike,
That also presumes that all the non-w.s.ing time is just waisted time. There are many other things to do on vacation besides w.s. In fact, most folks who go there dont w.s. at all, and (believe it or not) they have a blast.

No, it doesnt. It simply states a mathematical calcaluation of the cost of shred time, in response to WSMags claim that WSing is free and in the vein of the opening posts in this thread.

I, too, enjoy HIs other pleasures, but they neednt interfere with WSing. The vast majority of other Maui activities can be done in the morning or evening, leaving the peak wind afternoons free for sailing. Best of both worlds!

Dont try to read too much into my posts. Im a real simple guy who tries to say exactly what I mean without implying anything else.

we go to maui every summer and I am a professional with a medical office to support EVEN WHEN IM GONE! I know other MDs , dentists, lawyers who come and it does cost about a thousand a day to be there! Its worth it but it costs way more than rent and a rental car.

Mike,
Most people would base their costs on the whole experience, not just w.s.ing and include other fun things like snorkling and even relaxing on a beautiful beach as worthy of part of the cost.
Heck, ANY place far away and/or expensive would cost over a buck-a-minute with that accounting system. That may tell me something on how much you spent to get there and what kind of hotel but little about how good the wind was.
