| do windsurfers living in NYC windsurf on the jersey coast or LI? I know LI has a solid surfing scene, and it looks good for breeze in the fall - who goes where? |

| Heckscher Park out on Long Island is the place for summer thermals. Its about 1 hr from the city.Theres a very active group of Hudson river windsurfers, too, but Ive never tried sailing on Hudson. |
