| It would be too bad if Coast Guard approved PFD's were required for windsurfing. They are way too bulky, ride, up, get in the way of the harness and could be more dangerous when trying to swim or maneuver quickly. The smaller slimmer versions made just for windsurfing really help in the cold fresh water of the Columbia. Sea water is a lot floatier. Call me lazy, but the sensation of sinking like a stone is something I would rather avoid. |
