My buddies and I are headed south and would love any tips on coastal loctions and conditions. When is it windy on the California Coast, and what patterns drive the wind? |

NW clearing wind is usually good for around the SF bay and coast but good luck finding those anytime soon. Its still unusually wet and wintery around here. Its still rainy down in southern CA too, maybe Baja is good?? |

I think the best site to check out for the No. California coast is Ken Poultons Site from NOAA and NWS http://poulton.net/windsurf/. It shows current/forecasted swell and wind.
Iwindsurf may be okay now too since the forecasters are back online for 06. |

If it warms up again in Souther Ca then we might get some thermal winds. I
ve had some pretty good April and May ocean sessions in years past. Right now its just rain, rain, rain. |
