Okay, okay, I've been following this thread for awhile now, reading about all this great stuff that would happen if we went back to the Clinton era tax brackets, and how everything was so bitchen back then, including the (on paper only) surplus that we (supposedly) had back then.
Okay, lets go back to the Clinton tax brackets and see what happens, but if you think anything good will happen from that, then we will have to go back to the Clinton era spending as well, without that, the Clinton model ain't worth shit. |

Hey NW30, don't we still have a Republican majority in the House of Representatives? You'd think that they could rein in the deficit and debt, especially with all that new revenue. But of course, they talk up debt reduction a lot, but history has shown that much of their talk comes up short when it comes to the action part of putting it into gear. |

Fox News progressive pundit Christian Dorsey actually argued, with a straight face, that an entitlement or stimulus dollar given to someone boosts spending and thus productivity.
My DOG rolled his eyes!
Here, Freckles, you explain the fallacies in that Bolshoi.

The same House Republicans spent all that money when they controlled congress and the Pres.
Even then they told the suckers that they were the party fighting spending.
Thinking conservatives left the party in droves but those who watch Fox and Listen to Talk were often fooled. The numbers of easy victims has dropped off a lot with guys like Techno asking hard questions that the GOP can't answer. |

Yes, and as far as I'm concerned, there are far too many pussies in there right now, too concerned about taking the pseudo-PC hit.
The ball is in BHO's hands right now, let him tuck it away and jump over the cliff, I don't really give a shit, it's what he's always wanted to do anyway.
Fuck what the mainstream media will say, it will be all your's BHO, own it. |

You're right NW30, it's all in President Obama's hands, but most thoughtful folks know that Congress has something to do about that too. |

Rather than hand it to Obama maybe it would be in the best interest of the American people for conservatives to make a deal to get SOME of what we want.
When I was in the Party we did that and it worked out quite well sometimes.
If the GOP just lets the Republican House vote in the Dem tax cut for 98% of the American people we can solve a huge problem in an hour.
The House supports it for oldfashion reasons- the best interests of most of the American people.
That would be why the Senate passed it.
We can give a big tax cut to the Corps next time up there in that 2% rich "Americans" like Exxon.
You know which guys
Boehner calls them small business owners. That group has never lost in the long run because they control most lobbyists. |
