I've got a RRD LongRider. While as a SUP it doesn't glide like my wifes dedicated SUP it's does pretty good. Its great as a light wind board and when It does come up enough to get it planing it rocks! Just the other day at our local lake I was out on a 6.0 fooling around in 5-10 wind and it came up to just whitecaping. Best day I ever had on it. You can actually plane out of jibes if you're patient and do wide arcing turns. Anyway, great board. Isthmus still has them from what I see. _________________ The Time a Person Spends Windsurfing is not Deducted from their Lifespan...

Please note the original poster's opening line:
"I'm looking to buy windsurfing gear for the first time and have been windsurfing 3 times. Does anyone have a good experience with a WIND-SUP crossover setup? " _________________ Michael

I have a SUP / Windsurfer; 2011 Fanatic Fly; 11 foot; 220 liters. It is a wonderful light wind sailing board. |
