NICE!!!
I waited for it to come down a bit here on Cape Cod and went out on a 4.2m (I was also hoping the rain would let up. It did not!) Here are a few Gopro shots. Check out the temp drop on the graph.

Yeah! Are you doing a hand drag jibe in the second photo? Love all the other shots too.
Quite the temperature drop indeed.

2010 JP Wave 83 Pro Edition. 12 pounds. Same shape as the 2011 but they added thrusters to it making it a pound heavier.
Had it out today at the Chatham Lighthouse in some sweet little waves. Killer!!

Nice pics, and the new ride looks like it's working. Where were you sailing?

Awesome pics! So the board you were on was the 2010 edition that doesn't have thrusters?
I can't believe the thrusters add a pound to the board. Hopefully that is with the fins in and not just the fin box because I know Starboard's slot boxes don't add that much weight.
I am thinking about upgrading my boards to a 7XL Quad and something like an 85L wave (tri-fin or twin)/freestyle-wave board. Given I sail on the east coast I am worried that a multi-fin board will take away from the bump and jump sailing we are in most of the time when in the 85L conditions. At the end of last year I started sailing on a twin fin 85L quatro. The board took me a while to get used to but once I got used to it I was definitely more comfortable in my bottom turns and going down the line. I was still getting used to the board when the season ended but felt I was not able to get as much air on the way out with the twin fins. I realize now that I should have tried larger fins but am still worried there is some pop you loose when you have more than one fin... or is it just something I still need to get used to? Sadly the quatro twin fin was a temporary trade for an old RRD wave board that I will most likely have to give back at the beginning of the summer.
Any east coast wave sailors have some advice? I would really appreciate it. Also, I will be on MV a bunch this summer and have a beach key for one of the best breaks on the island if anyone is out there this summer.

No DriverA I got the 2010 because it does not have thrusters.
Zeppy that was at West Dennis Beach.
Damel the 2010 single is 12.1 pounds and the 2011 is 13.2 pounds that is without fins hull only. Here on Cape Cod you have to run a weed fin in the summer and the less fins for catching weeds the better.
I was out again on it Monday at the Chatham Lighthouse in side off wave conditions and it was sweet!! It is ripping fast as well.
As far as jumping I feel thrusters slow a board down less speed less air. If you are in 4.2m conditions or windier it is not a problem.
