Did anyone get out on the water in New England today, windsurfing, surfing, or kiting? I saw 1 surfer on the web cam at Naragansett Beach. I was think of sailing but the wind came in pretty late for me to make the drive down to the Cape. The snow, cold and lack of sailing company also dampened my enthusiasm a little. I can hear the wind whistling around my house now. _________________ http://waterloggedbyscooper.blogspot.com/ |

To Scopper and All:
I've got an update from Saturday. After confessing to an a$$ kicking the previous Sunday in the waves at Nauset, I went back for more. My goal is to end the surfing seasons (wind and wave) on a high note.
After being advised that going with my family to a "women's art / craft" exhibit was optional, I jumped in the truck with suit and board in hand. After hanging around for 10 minutes thinking things looked OK, 2 guys more hungry than me showed up. One in mid 50's and one in mid 60s!!.
They shamed me into it. I was fisrt in and last out. Enough half-a$$ed rides to call it a full session Grade B- for getting back on the horse.
Oh ya : last Monday lunch time crazy strong 5.0 and warm Grade A, Tuesday lunch perfect 4.2 for 20+ minutes then cloud cover and no wind Grade C due to things getting cut short.

Hey, I'm glad that a couple of people got out. Thanks for the reports. I guess I'm not crazy for considering it.
I hope some guys can hit it today. It looks really nice right now! _________________ http://waterloggedbyscooper.blogspot.com/ |

I saw 3 sails on the Coast Guard Beach cam. It looked like it was great! I had heard that those beaches along there weren't very good in a side off wind because the dunes block the wind but it looked like you guys were planing full time. Maybe I was misinformed. _________________ http://waterloggedbyscooper.blogspot.com/ |

It's fickle and best in a S...yest was SSW and about as much as it can hold.
You basically hooked in at the beach and got blasted thru the shorebreak sideways.
can't kite there, and summer sux |
