NOW you say something about the direction Geeze, 3 hours of time off work, 3 hours driving, $25 in gas and bridges, for NOTHING I am not a happy camper. For some reason I never looked at the direction (that won't happen again). So I drove up and down to see if it was worth going out. People were out on 100l boards and 6.0 sails and slogging. It looked good, but it was 0 - 30 or something like that. So after about an hour I gave up and drove home. The entire time looking at Tomales 32 mph........
Of course now the wind has shifted direction and I could actually be sailing if I had wanted to sit around for 2 hours.
I must have really angered the windsurfing gods. I think I need to sacrifice a live chicken or a virgin. Any left in the bay area??
Oh yeah, it was nice and warm however....... |

the right thing to do on a day like today would have been to go to the closest launch possible and keep one more car off the road.
i did and it was great although it looks like it wouldn't have worked out for anyone near isabel or berkeley. |

Hey gang…
Well, “martyrosse” was spot on with his Crissy forecast vs. reality conundrum. What a massive disappointment Crissy was yesterday when it set up due NW. Could have been on a 4.2 or 3.6 and 68L board at Tomales or 3rd but wound up ridding puffs on my usual Crissy kit, 5.0 and 80L wave board on some of the flattest water I have ever seen there. Did I mention massive disappointment, yep’ still bitter. Won’t make the same mistake again today, hi ho, hi ho it’s off to Tomales I go… |

MARTYROSE NEW IWINDSURF FORECASTER! SPOT ON AS PREVIOUS POST STATED! I GIVE MY PROPS and take the blame for being too bullish on Crissy.

Thanks for the acknowledgement, but that one definitely could have gone either way. We all saw Crissy almost turn on around 2-3pm. And having experienced the swell at Crissy the day before, it was SO hard not to try for it again. |
