Anybody know where I can windsurf at Marblehead MA? I would like a place that I can sail out of somebody backyard, or do a standup paddle board mission, or rip up devroux and throw fingers at the surfers. I heard of a few legendary sailors in marblehead, I wish I could hang out with them, meet them, and priase them.

No surfers in Marblehead. In fact, since it is a rocky coastline, you will have a hard time finding a beach at all. You're better off going to the Park in Salem harbor.

Speedy guy-----Not true there are pleanty of spots in Marblehead, flat water, side off wave sailing, bump+ jump, its all here. First spot I will reveal is great in N - NW... The lighthouse " Chandler Hovey Park" . No life guards huge grassy rigging area+ free parking. The Childrens Island meter is closest to spot. It reads 3 kts high but pretty accurate. Thats all for now........

Ride, thanks for filling me in. It's been so long since I've travelled to Marblehead that I have forgotten a lot about it. You have brought back some memories.

hey ride,
how's it going? how long have you been sailing in mhead? I grew up there, used to sail devereaux, back beach in storms, salem harbor in good nw and a few times off the lighthouse there. actually nahant was where we sailed more often than not. It's been a while though. nice to hear about things back there.
Oh and try and ignore the boneheads that have nothing good to say.

Hey Clay-Man when are you coming back to east side? New sailing spots outer islands.
PS. That bad egg is a kiter who pretends to windsurf still. He thinks the pirouette gybe is extreme. I think it looks queer.

Nice! Been thinking about it lately, no plans so far. Easy to get used to all the nice weather here and so many windy days. You just get spoiled. Would be nice to get back there soon though. Here's what it looks like on the bay here.... So who is sailing there nowadays?
