Hi people - it finally looks like my schedule and Mother Nature's are the same, and tomorrow I may have the chance get on the water
I was wondering if any of you guys are planning on going out, and where... I'm definitely up to some bump and jump, I was thinking about Fogland, which gets some swell with N wind, but I'm open to any other destination...
Pray for wind,
Juan

Hi,
Could someone clarify what/where is "Fogland"? Still new to Boston and interested in getting wet as well but unsure where to sail with NNE winds? Know that Chapin is really fun in NE but curious about this mysterious "Fogland". Thanks, O.

Hi O - I've been going to Fogland since I moved to RI. The place is a peninsula in the E-W direction, so it gets good in any N or S... It has both shallow water, a.k.a speed/safe for beginners, and bump and jump messy water...
For directions just google Fogland Beach, it's in Tiverton RI... And that is pretty much all I know There are other guys who have been going there for years, and hopefully will be able to give you more details...
See you there!
Juan

Here's an image from Google maps.
You can see it's really shallow on the N side near shore so people drive out on the peninsula to park. Follow Three Rod Way all the way to the end and you'll be heading S along the beach. Park where ever there's room.

Wow!!!! Definitely looks like a splendid spot for flat water blasting on the inside/ swell on the outside. Thanks for posting. Definitely add this spot on my list of places to discover. Enjoy tomorrow. Will try to make it to Chapin if forecast still holds. O.
Not looking forward to stepping in that cold water with my wetsuit... brrrrr

From my experience at Fogland, (not extensive), the wind is good in SW, NW, N, but not so good in NE. Has anyone else experianced that?

Yes, Fogland sucks on a NE. You should go to 3rd beach in Middletown on the other side of the river.
