Has anyone ever launched from the Southern tip of Plum Island? Does the road allow access all the way to Sandy Point?

It's been a while for me but I have launched from Sandy Point, you can drive to the tip, past the bird sanctuary, just beware, you will have to lug your gear a few hundred yards.

I typically would launch from the other side of Plum Island over at Ipswich called the Pavillion. From there, you can launch over to Sandy Point. Just beware of the currents, they can be pretty strong.

I have launched from Pavillion Beach - pretty nice, so prolly better than dealing with Plum Island, then.
