Do you expect good winds for this afternoon? I don't. Actually, the wind picked up here on the Cape out of the S.W. yesterday afternoon. This was completely against the forecasts. I almost went out for a sunset sail, but the winds died around 6 p.m. as quickly as they rose. I wonder whether or not it was thermally driven. Whatever, today is shaping up for potential thermal action over and above the forecasted trend out of the SW. |

Good question. Not really, but I'd better pack my gear. Because if I don't, there will be wind. And you guys will be sailing when I will be sitting on the beach. Perhaps, we could get some seabreeze.

The earlier forecast was for stronger wind. We'll have to wait and see what comes. Hyannis may be a better choice. |

The archive doesn't show much for Pleasure Bay, but we had good winds yesterday afternoon in Falmouth. This went contrary to the forecasts, too. My wind meter showed an average of 17 m.p.h. with gusts to 22. Rigging an 8.4 with a lot of downhaul, I was blasting and gybing much to my satisfaction. |

I am going to be at Pleasure Bay because I know this place.
But can you, please, explain me the difference between Wollaston Beach (Quincy Shore Drive) or Nantasket Hull and Pleasure bay for conditions like tomorrow. Why are you preferring the Pleasure bay? Because of lunch convenience, tide independence? why?
