Yesterday, sometime in the early afternoon a sea thermal kicked in on the south coast of the cape. It wasn't predicted as far as I knew and took me by surprise. Now, I see that mild sea breezes are forecast for today. Is this because yesterday's winds were missed?

That's funny, Ron. Actually, I went out yesterday anticipating the >>sea breezes in the afternoon<<. I was faced with light winds out of the NW which did turn around by 4 p.m. to come off the sound. However, they were never as strong as the day before. I forgot to take a harness with me, but still had a fun time. That might tell you how much wind there actually was. I expect today's >>Mid to late PM seabreeze potential<< to be just as exciting. |
