I'm definitely sailing this weekend, maybe Sat afternoon at the cut in the SE, or Sunday morning at Deep Hole with W. I'll see how the forecast plays out. Anybody else planning on sailing around here?

The tide will be going out at the cut after around 2:00, when the wind is supposed to be getting good, so I'd rather not sail there by myself. I'm guessing that the waves will be pretty tiny.

West wind at Deep Hole with south swell coming in is among my all time favorite conditions but it might not happen.

O.K. Saturdays out, unless the forecast changes. Sunday still looks windy, and warm enough. The south wind probably won't blow long and strong enough to build up good waves before switching to west so I'm not sure where I'll go.

What's good in a west wind? Deep Hole, Horseneck, Hardings. Kalmus, Roger Wheeler, Chappy, Ninigret. It would be nice to get some waves or chop, if possible.

With the wind we're likely to get, finding chop shouldn't be too hard!

Have a great day...definately sail with buddies and in a spot where swimming home isn't a big deal.

Let us know if you survive. I had my small kites out yesterday around noon (Sunday), and the winds picked as forecasted after that. It was howling last night. However, this is an artic air mass that is moving in. It's cold, too cold for me. Water temps at Wood's Hole register around 37 F.

I survived. The wind was super up and down, maybe 10 to 40, with occasional snow squalls, but there were a few of us out on small sails and boards making the best of it.
