Happy Festivus for the Rest of Us!! (that old Serfiac aluminum mast makes a great Festivus Pole. That is, if you have an unbroken one. If not, pull that grey Ampro out from under the house.)

I was walking through the Olympic Village and I saw a man carrying a long pole. I asked " are you a polevaulter?" "No" he replied. "I'm Swedish. But how did you know my name was Vaulter?"

May everyone have finished their Christmas shopping weeks ago, find the board of their dreams under the tree, and get to use it in perfect and perfectly warm winds before the New Year.
OK, more realistically, I hope some of us finish shopping by the New Year, get a $10 discount on an acceptable stick without too much shipping damage, and get back on some thawed liquid on something smaller than 8 square meters by Memorial Day.
Merrrrrry Christmas, whatever your religion or lack thereof, sexual preference or lack thereof, political persuasion or delusion, sailing style or dearth thereof, and whichever footstrap you enter first. Hell, even if you get towed by strings 'cause you can't handle beefier stuff ... Merrrrry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all. Keep the wind at your back and the taxman out of your account.

Mele Kalikimaka to all. May you have more wind and time in 2008. It will be tough to top 07 at Sherman Island with all the visits from seals, sealions, aligators and whales, but we will try. All of you sail hard, sail fast, sail long and sail safe. Enjoy the experience.

Yes: Peace to all of you fellow wind junkies.
Amid the hustle and bustle, we gotta admit that we do live in interesting times. 2008 promises to be very interesting one indeed.
Let's have it be a windy one, too.
