Trying to squeeze two posts in one:
anybody know a place to windsurf as close to Copenhagen, DK as possible
have a trip there for a week later this month and was hoping to try some windsurfing on the baltic sea
likewise flying into Rome at the end of the year, and leaving from Florence. Any good places to rent/windsurf there? thanks in advance for any recommendations for either place. I am a beginner, and won't be bringing anything with me other than I guess a wetsuit. doubt it will be very cold in DK in a couple weeks, but days are getting short.

i haven't been to denmark to sail but suspect as it's already in the 60's and that their summer vacations are over that you won't find any rental sites open.
lake garda or lago di garda is 2 and a half driving hours due north of florence. torbole has lots of rental shops and garda has some of the most dependable winds in europe. it's a major european windsurfing destination in the summer. doubt that you will find anyone in the water in the winter. |

In a 1,5 week you would still be warm in a 4mm wetsuite, have a great trip. If you need gear try Ski Shop (Strandvejen, Hellerup). |

for copenhagen rent at ski shop, depending on the direction you can sail 500 m from the shop, else drive to the north shore.. the water should not be too cold, and chances of wind are great |

I will be there this Friday (Sept 2. My first time in Copenhagen. I am staying with a friend who is a windsurfer. My trip is not for windsurfing, but if there is wind, I will be out there. I am taking my 3/3 wetsuit. I can't offer any advice on renting gear now. I understand they have had some good days. |
