Every time i sailed Point Isabel/Marina Bay i refer to an on site report not a significant amount of wind posted by IWINDSURF. The sensor is reading about 4-5mph less than the actual wind. Whether the location of the sensor, the calibration of the equipment or the quality of wind reaching the sensor, or all of the above i don't find it helpful to look at a sensor reading 14 while it's 4.7-5.2 condition on the water.
Despite the great efforts of Mike Godsey and his crew flying over and fixing the sensor (very appreciated), the local sailors of the east bay have to drive by to spot for an on site report then call the others to join.

Could a webcam solve the problem? Relocate the sensor or calibrate it??...

You can also use Angel Island as another indicator. If it's reading over 25, and PI is above 16, that seems to me to be reason to drive over.

May explain why I saw many shredders as I drove by around 7PM yesterday on way back from Idaho/Gorge/Floras Lake and then looked at graph this AM and wondered how they managed. May be altered location and/or need for further calibration tweaking of the replaced system? However, still better than nothing, as long as you can adjust expectations and it is precise (vs. accurate). - David
