Long fetch in NW winds, very deep, scenic, alternative activities . . . but does it blow (from the NW)? Ellensburg, an hour south, blows like holy hell (maybe more than the Gorge) in the summer, but it is fed by a huge topographical funnel. But does anyone know about Chelan's windsurfing prospects?

Blows every friggin day up there!! Take some of your Roosie buddies with you when you go. Specially those kiters, they will love it. Water is always 80*+. |

Sadly the surrounding Mts mess with the wind and it never really lines up but the water is warm in the summer and 25 mile creek will have some swell if the wind ever filled in.
Good Luck |

I like Wadebird's answer better, on every level. I think I'll go with it.
