About 6 East End Long Island windsurfers hit up Peconic Bay at Jamesport this morning to catch Easterly winds blowing 18-28mph. Sails ranged from 4.7 to 5.4. The wind was a bit inconsistent at times, but when it cranked, the long fetch kicked up 3-4+ ft chop and rolling swells. Not the most ideal conditions, but I'll take it after two weeks of minimal wind!

| Sailed jupiter florida in the afternoon(saturday), it was head to logo high swells with sideoff winds south winds, rode 4.7 and 74liter wave. Swell was extremely clean and beautifully peeling on an outside bar north of the pier. Very good session but as is often the case, i was sailing alone, kiters weren't around with the offshore nature of the winds. john in jupiter |

A good session! I'd like to find a solution to 25 knots of rain in the eyes when the clouds are so heavy and sunglasses make things too dark. Anyone sailing with clear goggles in storms?

| Too foggy here on the Cape for me. I did go out yesterday, Tuesday, in light winds for a long session. |
