Has anyone sailed south of Huntington Beach? THe farthest I have windsurfed is Newport Beach, (Just north of 56th street Jetty and just south of the Santa Ana River)
I have been windsurfing there a few times lately and wondering why no one windsurfs there??? The wind is good and the waves are awesome. It would be cool to see more windsurfers there.
But has anyone windsurfed Newport, Crystal Cove SP, Laguna, Dana Point, San Clemente, or San O?????
I know the wind fades as you go south but has anyone done it in stronger winds? |

I live in Newport but it the wind is always stronger to the north. Are you sailing in Newport with Formula gear, what sails are you using? I'd be surprised to see winds above 12 kts in NB, let us know.... |

I've done a couple downwinders, starting at Seal. I usually stop planing around 56th street. I use a 111L board and KA Kult 5.8 (VERY POWERFUL!) I have done these downwinders on typical wind days (not too strong or light) around 15-17 knots at Seal.
What beach do you usually sail at since you live in NP? |
