Is it possible to sail 'Sierra Point'?

Most peninsula sensors are looking pretty poor today except 'Sierra Point.' I know where it is, but is there a launch area somewhere? For what launch area(s) are the Sierra Point sensor readings the best proxy?

Never sailed there but have stopped by to see if it's possible. Normally tons of wind but no launch that I have found except for launching across the small bit of water between the Brisbane Harbor (Sierra Point) and Oyster Point...launching from the grassy area on the East side of the Genentech area. The sensor is 1/4-1/3 mile off shore on a channel marker for the Brisbane Harbor.

I have sailed through Sierra Point having launched from Candlestick on a SW wind and headed over towards Coyote Pt. I made it as far as Haskins/Oyster Pt. area but a mile or so out from shore before the chop had become too much for my big board. I could have made it to Coyote given wind cooperation but of the areas I went through on the trek, Sierra had the most steady wind that day.

Oyster Pt is the closest launch, nice cement ramp.
It may have been good there today, not sure.
O. Pt. can be good when it's from the south.
Haskins St or Genentech is usually better on SW. There is
talk of a new ramp around the point from Genentech too.
Tide needs to be higher at both of those though.

East bay is usually good on SW, take a look at Berkeley.
