Anyone know what is going on with the point judith sensor?
Anyone planning on sailing there tomorrow 5/15, there is a good SW forecasted? |

I am pondering sailing Pt. Judith today.
Will be driving from CT, so I may end up at Barn Island if the winds are blowing strong there, but will see.
In regards to the Pt. Judith sensor. All I know is that that sensor is installed offshore and use telemetry to send the data to land. I hope it is not serious. We have lost two very valuable sensors this past year (Lighthouse Pt. CT, and Pt. Judith) I hope they both be back up soon.

Did anybody make it out today? It looked great on the Cape but I couldn't get free.

it was good 5.0 till about 4 and then it faded a bit to 6.0.
i was behind the curve however chasing the wind with
a sail change and board change...... |

Sailed out of Dartmouth. It was nukin'. Downhauled my 4.8 hucker as much as possible. Sailed on a 75 liter board. Blew around 29 knots.
First time on the Hucker. Very impressed with its range. Plenty of reckage trying to sail in the big swells and chop. Great day.
Lot's of pain; pumping motrin into the system. Life is good. |

Where do you sail in Dartmouth? I live near Padanaram and almost never sail here in a sw...When I do sail here, I'm always the only sailor out there! |

Broadreach,
How the hell did you hold on? I was staring at 6 foot swells all day. I would have been shore lunch for the crabs if I were on a 6.5. Impressive! |
