Okay well no secret I am a hoar to self promotion.
BUT, I was happy to see Peter Kimbal this evening on NECN.
Okay so along with that comes this...he was Kiting...hmmmmm.
AND, and this is typical...they called it Parasurfing...the heading under his interview was "Peter Kimbal, Parasurfer"
Dude, your a Parasurfer, sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha
Holy crap, it is a howl how then "Normal" people of the world just do not have a clue. you would think the news would at least make sure they are calling the sport the correct name before airing it no? Dont they have experts to like ya know, proof read their materla or what they are going to say? guess not. maybe its an open position.
So congrats PK, you will forever be the "Parasurfer" of Cape Cod |

Peter was sailing....4.7 in fact....
NECN took a picture of another (kiter) and implied that peter was a "parasurfer"
so...........don't trust the news....
Peter will kite or sail....whatever works best that day....a proper attitude! |

Thanks for the notes
I do my best to keep the spectators and reporters entertained at the beach.
I have no idea where the parasailor thing came from.
The NECN reporter never asked specifically what we were doing
Then agian he may not have been the one to write the caption. |

No no, now this is no time to be getting down on the news reporters. You are officially a "Parasurfer", you should embrace that.
Now I am really not sure what a "Parasurfer" is, but we will leave that up our imaginations.
maybe its close to kite sailing, or hang surfing, or board surfing, something along those lines.... |

No, the press needs to get it right! The kiter who died on Long Island sound last spring was reported as a windsurfer. Windsurfing injuries/deaths are being overstated and kiting injuries/deaths are being understated. I want to keep windsurfing at my beach and incorrect statistics and impressions don't help. |

ah yes, i agree much, for it is not the type of wind craft we fly which is important , but yet the size which is of crucial matter- |

"Sailing or just not having an open mind?"
Brucie, you gotta first have a mind before it can be open.
How come all those posts the other day on seabreeze (http://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=27826) from all your RobSwift aliases are arguing with each other? Did you forget to take your meds again? Or did the blue sky and sunlight make you nuts? |
