Sunday Sailing

It looks like we may see some wind on Sunday in Rhode Island. It also may be above freezing. Anyone heading out?

At this point, I'm about ready to go whether its windy or not. I'll be watching the forecast carefully with fingers crossed! Hope to see others out there as well

Right now the computer forecast shows winds over 50 for some places on the cape and R.I. for Sunday evening!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the meterologist forecast. If its windy I'll be out there, not sure where. If its not windy I may be out there anyway. My body thinks it should be spring and it wants to sail.

Pleasure Bay in Boston harbor also shows great wind for Sunday. That's an hour closer for me so I'll probably go there.

Season is abbreviated comparatively but great st pattys day to Thanksgiving with a ew extra days in between. Its just more technically demanding this part of season .

If the water temp was at least 50 I'd be going. And then as long as its blowing onshore or sideshore and at the right point of the tide, if possible,
since its so cold.

I sailed through Dec and Jan. Feb was way too cold. Been in about 5 times in March and April. My dry suit was the best piece of gear I ever bought. Glacier gloves are also a big help in the cold water. I don't tolerate the cold; I dress to stay warm.
