try Tear-Aid type A, or get rip-stop nylon tape off a paragliding supply website.

Id probably go with duct tape, and maybe some zip ties, and if that doesnt work maybe some bailing wire.

Then again, Im not a kiter, and this isnt a forum for kiting, its for windsurfing. So how should I know?

how about try ikitesurf.com dude!

Why would you have tears on a kite? Do you do shove-its and land on you kite? Only windsurfers can do shove-its and heck yeah get tears on the sail.
