Whats your favorite place and why?
Personally, I like crissy-but also love the delta if I can find the time to drive there.

I think much of it depends on where you live. Kind of tough to drive by the Delta, Berkeley and TI to get to Crissy. As far as scenery I would have to say that Crissy is better. But warm air, warm water and a shorty or no wet suit, give me Rio.

A story; we were standing at Pt isabella. the conditions were marginal. The guy standing next to us said well, if its not going to be good at least Im going to be warm. We also then drove to Rio where it was 85 degrees and windy. we have never been back to dogpoop point. *********************

I like Coyote Point. There is little boat traffic, the wind is usually steady and strong.

Me, Im and island guy. That would be Sherman and Treasure. Sherman cause its warm, windy and a great vibe. Treasure cause the conditions are perfect on an ebb.

I have to stand up for Pt. Isabel tho. When its good I really like sailing there. Why? First the port ramps are some of the best for jumping. Mainly tho, its a place of exploration. There are so many places to sail to, so many different things to see. I love to sail up to the tip of Brookes Island (theres that island thing again) and ride the swell back down to the launch, or duck underneath and ride the flats below the sandbar. Or sail over to the bulb and check out the flotsam on the shore. One day on a NW I sailed all the way to the Berkeley pier. But for wind, its truly a crapshoot. Ive gotten fooled there too many times to go there when theres reliable wind elsewhere.

My #1 spot is Candlestick Pt. Nice flat water and high fairly predictable winds. But Sherman is my 2nd fav. Finally was able to bust laydown port jibes last season and the warm water is great but not friendly to my contacts.
3rd fav is Berkeley. On a good windy day Ive beenable to make it to Brooke Is. ovr by Pt Isabel...love long reaches and sight seeing.

I used to go to Treasure Island when I was in the Navy. Never thought about windsurfing back then. Guess now its all million dollar condos?

Hardly. But give it 5-10 years and it will be. Complete with two WS launches, with parking for 150 cars. Right now theyre digging up the toxic soil left by your employer at the time. Then they have a big re-development project in the works. It will be nice. Especially if you love wind.
