Does anyone know anything about sailing at Green Harbor or Brant Rock, near Duxbury? Ive heard that it is good for wavesailing on a NE but Im not sure where exactly the launch is, parking etc. Any info would be a help. scooper

Its called Green Harbor. Take the duxbury exit off of rt 3. Shortly after the police station , bear left, keep going straight, crossing rt 3a onto rt 139, follow for awhile look for small sign that says Duxbury beach , on right, go right, goto end, small lot. Good on NE only, but can be epic. Port tack jumping, which is why I goto Chapin on a NE for the starboard tack jumping.

Oh, I think Ive sailed there before. Ive sailed at powder point bridge a lot, but Ive also driven around to the Duxbury Beach parking lot and sailed on the ocean side. I think it was side onshore in a NE. When I heard that Green Harbor was good for wave sailing I checked a map and it looked like there might be a spot on the point near Brant Rock with side shore conditions. I usually prefer starboard jumping too but if there was a nice spot for straight sideshore, down the line riding, closer to home, then I would definately try it out. Maybe Ill give Peggety Point a try. scooper
