| Has anyone windsurfed in the petaluma river? I was just at Port Sonoma but you cannot launch from there. There is a boat launch across the river, but it has a no personal watercraft sign. |

Yeah, I launched there a few times when I was just beginning. It wasnt a problem then. I launched under the bridge where there is a boat ramp.
Not sure why youd want to sail there. Did you want to putt around in the river or sail into the bay? If you want to sail the bay, maybe think of Bullhead Flats on a high tide and good NW wind.
