At a desert bike race, I bought 200 $1 raffle tickets because I was going to donate that much anyway to the sponsor. First prize was a new dirt bike perfect for my wife, who was Utah's #2 female desert racer. We won the bike, but nothing else despite a long list of other prizes. Suspicious that they just cast all my other tickets aside because they figured I had won enough, I calculated the odds of my not winning any other prizes. It was simple statistics based on the number of prizes, the number of tickets sold, and the number we bought. I forget the numbers but the odds none of our tickets were drawn for anything else were astronomical ... at least billions to one.

We didn't complain, figuring they just wanted to spread the prizes around. We agreed with that presumed philosophy, and enjoyed the bike for years.

That doesn't cut it in an election for the most powerful office on the planet. Such an election must be above board, by the book, honest ... whatever catchy term one wants to apply. Its importance warrants extensive examination to ensure the will of the people, in accordance with the constitutional voting rules extant prior to the election and post-election official rulings.

We've seen and posted facts such as the rally crowd turnout ratio (!,000:1), rally count (what? ... 100:5?), the downballot (who votes a straight party line ticket below POTUS but votes for the other POTUS candidate?), and many more such indicators favoring Trump. Given those and other such numbers, it would be straightforward to calculate the statistical odds whether this election was legitimate or not. i.e., whether it should be examined under a microscope for the benefit of every person and nation affected by it for decades to come. Such odds don't determine an election outcome, but they surely as hell can determine the likelihood it was fairly or unfairly executed. IOW, those odds determine the likelihood of smoke and the likelihood of any fire producing it. In even simpler terms, they should tell us whether there's a DNC in the woodpile.

My god, another sandwich story. Poor Mike Fick, his life has been a series of people conspiring against him.

Snowflake.

Donald Trump undoubtedly believes his stacked Republican majority in the Supreme Court will support his false and decidedly specious claims about the election, but it's not going to work. The election was sound, and Joe Biden won handily, and even an activist Republican Supreme Court isn't going to try and contest that. They're not that stupid or crazy.

All of you diehard Trump supporters need to accept his loss and move on.

Every time I tell myself people can’t possibly be that dense; along comes Iso. His rallies are about as reliable as polls in predicting outcomes. Odds do not determine if an election was fairly or unfairly executed. Facts determine if an election was fairly or unfairly executed. The only fraud found so far was by Republicans for Trump. Every recount has turned up little or no difference. All your rally numbers prove is that the smarter people voted against Trump.

The discrepancy between POTUS and down-ballot races can easily be explained by two things: General aversion to Donald Trump caused his vote count to lag behind that of the Senate and House races. And, down-ballot republicans were successful in hammering the "Defund the Police" and "Dems are socialist" messages. Democrats have themselves to blame for the latter. The former, well Trump gotta Trump. If you listened to his interview with Bartiromo on Fox (and if you were able to sit through the entire thing, you are a better man than I), you can easily see why the presidential tally is an anomaly compared to other races.

Around the bend, all the way to Qanon:

Quote:
One of the many pieces of misinformation repeated by President Donald Trump and his legal team, in an effort to dispute the results of Trump’s 2020 election loss to Joe Biden, was the claim that the number of mail-in votes recorded in Pennsylvania greatly exceeded the number of mail-in ballots requested:

Pennsylvania reports having mailed out 1,823,148 ballots, of which 1,462,302 were returned. Yet total mail-in voters number 2,589,242? From where did the extra 1,126,940 votes come?
This claim was egregiously wrong, however.
The 1.8 million figure touted by Trump erroneously represents either:

1) The number of mail-in ballots that Pennsylvania reported had been requested for the June 2020 primary election (not the general election held several months later).

2) The number of mail-in ballots that Pennsylvania reported had been requested by persons registered as Democrats as of the voter registration deadline of Oct. 19. That figure did not include the hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots that were also requested by persons registered as Republicans (or persons registered with third parties affiliations or with no party affiliation) as of that date:

The numbers reiterated by Trump and his supporters in an attempt to prove election fraud in Pennsylvania bore no relationship to the total of mail-in votes recorded in that state and were not proof of any type of malfeasance or major error in vote-counting.

Crazy Bard—the Georgia servers were wiped in 2017 when Republican Kemp was in charge. Get help dude. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/georgia-election-server-wiped-clean-after-suit-filed

Arizona turnout was up—some—from 2016.

Quote:
Voters cast more than 3.2 million ballots and turnout neared 80%, up from about 65% in 2018 and about 74% during the last presidential election in 2016, Hobbs said.

Bard, you're damn hard on Donald Trump despite all reality. What's he giving you?

That's a fair question.

Hard to believe the Trump campaign paid $3million for a county re-count and lost 87 more votes to Biden.
Stupid is as stupid does!
