Windance does this for a pretty steep fee. I used o be able to buy a new boom for less. It's better to regrip yourself even if it takes a try to get it right.

I think the Boom Doctor (JP) still re-grips booms. He has done some in cork.

Chinook boom? Pretty sure Chinook will regrip it.

FYI I got a cork regrip from JP. A little more expensive and a little rougher grip but much more durable. With all the rocky launches around here I'll never go back to the soft stuff.

Check with Big Winds or any of the local shops. Last I knew JP (Boom Doctor) and Chinook did carbon booms for around 70-80 dollars and they both do a professional job.

I did go to Windance to get my boom regripped.

The cost is quite a bit higher than estimated in this thread though for those who care to know.

It's $120 for regular or $140 for cork. I went for the cork because it's supposed to be more durable and the labor cost is apparently very high compared to materials.

So far it's working great. Time will tell if it's really more durable.

Does anybody have any long-term experience with cork boom grip?
