Trump's still in reality TV mode..."You're fired!"

For the hundredth solid counterexample to this thread's topic ...
When the special forces got Hussein -- OOPS; Bin Laden ... under Obama's watch (Thanks, Boggs; I do peek now and then), the shitstream media and its mindless followers from the Congress to Podunk praised Obama endlessly and shamelessly for it.

When the special forces got al Baghdadi under Trump's watch, the shitstream media and its mindless followers from the Congress to Podunk vilified Trump endlessly and shamelessly. An insane leading CNN so-called "journalist" labeled him a murderer because "no human being deserves to die". (So who the hell considers Alibaba a human being anyway?)

And "Slain leader al Baghdadi was an academic cleric"? REALLY? Even the Catholic church is satisfied with "merely" molesting children, but this guy slowly beheaded them, yet the shitstream media mourns his death and praises his martyrdom, and Dean apparently defends them.

Democrates (/dɪˈmɒkrəˌtiːz/; Ancient Greek: Δημοκράτης) was a Pythagorean philosopher about whom little is known. Apollonius of Tyana wrote at least one letter to a Democrates, Epistle 88.

A collection of moral maxims, called the Golden Sentences (γνῶμαι χρυσαῖ, Gnomai chrysai) has come down to us under his name. However, many scholars argue that these maxims all originate from an original collection of sayings of Democritus,[1]>[2] though others believe that there was a different little-known Democrates whose name became confused with the much better-known Democritus.[3] Thirty of the Golden Sayings are also found in Stobaeus attributed to Democritus.[1]

The maxims are written in the Ionic dialect, from which some scholars have inferred, that they were written at a very early period. Others think it more probable that they are the production of the age of Julius Caesar. But nothing can be said with certainty, for want of both external and internal evidence. Some of these sentences are quoted by Stobaeus, and are found in some manuscripts under the name of Democritus.

A guy in Albuquerque 30 years ago routinely wandered around town wearing nothing but jockey shorts and a sidearm. Both were legal.

Some idiot reporter demanded of Trump at yesterday's CV presser "how do you excuse your constant self-aggrandizing boasting about you and your administration's achievements ... yada yada yada?" The F-ing idiot doesn't even comprehend the following:
1. It's called transparency, you stupid fool.

2. One of any president's prime responsibilities is encouraging the public in hard times. FDR's Fireside Chats were a widely acclaimed "source of hope and security for all Americans".

3. What other POTUS in our history answered questions directly and spontaneously, often until the press runs out of them? Trump has even repeatedly asked the CV presser reporters whether they want to continue or adjourn.

4. What part of Trump's recognition and praise of the government and civilian agencies cooperating with each other and with the White House is egregious? On the contrary, showing explicit, specific, public appreciation is intended to be encouraging.

5. That reporter very obviously doesn't understand how much effort Trump OBVIOUSLY puts into telling reporters when their questions become little more than negative personal attacks or outright lies; suggesting ways they can ask their questions without throwing in ad hominem, HOSTILE, accusatory BS; then lavishly praises the ones who learn from that teaching process. It's been impressive how many of those reporters have learned the lesson intended, but not surprising that others simply refuse to learn anything.

6. Many of the reporters, the Hate News they work for, and the gullible people who blindly accept ANY reporters' "news" as gospel don't even comprehend the differences between facts, expectations, and hopes. For example, "Wouldn't it be great to open up business by Easter?" is a hope, expecting a zillion masks by some future date is an ... guess what ... expectation, and "Democrats raised holy hell when I banned flights from China in January, before our first Covid 19 death, saying it was not only unjustified but racist" is a fact. How is a hope or expectation a "lie"?

Yeah, yeah ... we all know that BACK WHEN IT WAS THE EXPERTS' CONSENSUS, many of us equated CV to influenza. Funny thing about that is the recent data which are beginning to equate them once again, as the denominator -- the number of the general population with Covid 19 -- is very likely ten to a hundred times what was presumed a month ago. For the math-impaired here, that cuts CV's death rate from 3% to 0.3%, or maybe even .03%. Sources include some of the world's leading MDs specializing in statistical epidemiology.

And, of course, we all know that all conservatives are gay, homophobic, gun-totin', biblethumping, stupid, ignorant, racist, misogynistic, toothless, inbred morons. If that's your only response, as it usually was and probably still is, save the wear and tear on your fingertips and raise the bar.

Some U.S. leaders “aren’t even pretending to be in charge”: Barack Obama criticized the virus response in a virtual commencement speech.

you will not see that in the headlines of all media. such truth to power.

The Georgia and Colorado governors have laid out very similar plans. Georgia's Republican governor is reamed every day by the media, while CO's Democrat governor is ignored. But no bias there.

Nancy Pelosi Says ‘Morbidly Obese’ Trump Taking Hydroxychloroquine Is ‘Not a Good Idea’

Quote:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it’s “not a good idea” for a “morbidly obese” President Donald Trump to be taking the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine as a preventative treatment for COVID-19 — especially given his age and weight group.

“He’s our president and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group — morbidly obese, they say,” Pelosi told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday evening. “I think it’s not a good idea.”

I believe this is an impeachable offense... yelling fire in a movie theatre is a serious crime because IT could lead to serious injuries. It was ruled it is not free speech. President has the largest megaphone in the world. He has armed idiots who listen to anything he says. Case and point the right winger who sucker punched the black person at a rally.

will we see an investigation of these false lies with intent to do harm. Or just another proud day of right wing lies.

Infamous Pizzagater Jack Posobiec Pushed Hoax About Pipe Bombs Being Planted at Korean War Memorial

Quote:
It was an image out of a Trump supporter’s fever dream: crates of pipe bombs stashed near the Korean War Veterans Memorial, amid tense protests at the White House and the surrounding streets. The suspects behind the explosives had fled, but federal law enforcement officers were right behind them.

The pipe bomb story was the brainchild of Jack Posobiec, a right-wing personality who’s regularly retweeted by Donald Trump and who works for fledgling Trump cable network One America News. And it came like a five-alarm fire. “BREAKING: 2 crates filled with pipe bombs discovered near Korean War Memorial in DC after suspects spotted in bushes,” Posobiec tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. “Federal assets in pursuit.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, Posobiec’s tweet had garnered more than 29,000 retweets and 60,000 favorites. And it seeded the idea that Washington protesters were not just violent but potentially deadly—just as the White House was attempting to justify tear-gassing peaceful protesters for a presidential photo-op a day earlier. The popular pro-Trump hoax blog The Gateway Pundit picked up on it. And so too did the pro-Trump Twitter universe which began to demand why mainstream media outlets weren’t covering the pipe bombs.

“2 boxes of pipe bombs found near the Korean War memorial,” wrote one Twitter user. “No word from msnbc?”

By Wednesday, Posobiec’s supposed pipe bombs were being cited as fact on a conservative Boston talk radio station.

But the pipe bombs were totally made up. U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. Eduardo Delgado told The Daily Beast in an email that the Park Police never discovered any pipe bombs near the memorial. Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department also had no reports of pipe bombs at the memorial, a spokesperson said Tuesday.

There’s no evidence that the supposed pursuit from “federal assets” ever happened either.

Instead, it appears Posobiec either concocted the claim entirely or, at best, relied on information from deeply flawed sources. Worse, his tweet appears to have wasted law enforcement resources at a crucial time, as Park Police officers scrambled to find the nonexistent pipe bombs.

Pizzagate King Jack Posobiec Doxes Roy Moore’s Accuser on Twitter. Twitter Does Nothing.

Posobiec and OAN president Charles Herring didn’t respond to a request for comment. The episode shows how fast hoaxes continue to spread online and how real world crises remain the perfect breeding ground for disinformation. A simple missive on social media can have dramatic, cascading effects.

Park Police officers only began looking for the pipe bombs after getting reports about a tweet mentioning them, according to Delgado. Delgado didn’t name the tweet, but Posobiec’s tweet was the first and most widely circulated one about the supposed pipe bombs.

“We were advised that a Tweet said that there were pipe bombs at the Korean Memorial,” Delgado wrote in an email. “The memorial and all adjacent areas were swept by explosion detection K9s with negative results.”

This isn’t the first time Posobiec, a former naval intelligence officer, has played a lead role in promoting hoaxes. He was one of the most prominent promoters of the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, that held that the Washington D.C. pizzeria Comet Ping Pong was really a front for a child sex dungeon run by Hillary Clinton. He even went to the restaurant to find out “what’s really going on” there.

Jack Posobiec, Pizzagate and Seth Rich Conspiracy Theorist, Has Top Secret Security Clearance

That conspiracy theory inspired a North Carolina man to shoot a gun inside of Comet Ping Pong, and prompted an arsonist to try to light the restaurant on fire in 2019 while it was filled with families.

In 2017, BuzzFeed reported text messages suggesting that Posobiec held a “Rape Melania” sign during an anti-Trump protest in an apparent attempt to discredit the protesters as insidious and deranged.

Since then, Posobiec has tried to reinvent himself as a kind of hard-edged national security reporter — while also creating a comic book about himself in which a fictionalized Posobiec alter ego named “Agent Poso” pulls off James Bond-style stunts with other conservative media personalities.

Despite Posobiec’s reputation for hoaxes, Trump frequently retweets his tweets and praises his network, OAN, as a more pro-Trump rival to Fox News. The White House has ensured that Posobiec’s colleague, OAN reporter Chanel Rion, has access to press briefings in violation of the White House press corps coronavirus social-distancing restrictions.

Ku Klux Klan leader drove truck into crowd of peaceful protesters, Virginia officials say

Quote:
A Virginia man who is alleged to have driven his truck into a crowd of peaceful protesters over the weekend is an "admitted leader" of the Ku Klux Klan, officials said Monday.

In a statement, Henrico County Commonwealth's Attorney Shannon Taylor described the man, identified as Harry Rogers, 36, as "a propagandist of Confederate ideology." A "cursory glance" at his social media accounts and his admissions to authorities revealed that he was a leader of the white supremacist group, she said.

The hell with the media; they're mostly destroying our minds with liberal BS. What's very directly destroying our very nation is liberal government as manifested in Seattle and Washington state in general.

Terrorists and protestors were handed a huge segment of Seattle by police largesse. The cops packed up, walked away, and handed the keys to that part of the city to rabblerousers ... sort of like telling your dog, "Good BOY" for killing a child.

The Chief of Police said the order came from above her pay grade. That narrows the source to the Mayor, the Governor, or the POTUS.

The Mayor denies all responsibility.

The Governor said in a televised presser something like, "I haven't heard about it" ... as though it hasn't justifiably displaced that pandemic thing and that George Floyd thing on TV for days now.

If the order to abandon Seattle had come from the White House, the uproar would have drowned half the nation. (The other half aren't going to miss Seattle any more than they would miss SF, LA, etc. The bigger problem is what a victory like this for the freakside will do to encourage sympathetic freaks in your home town.)

Is there a home defense weapon ETF on the stock market?

One of the reasons I participate in this forum is to find out how so much bullshit gets spread among the tin foil hat crew. This antifa nonsense is a case in point. Both NW and Isobars have now spewed about Seattle. The apparent source of this nonsense is Sean Hannity, ginning up Trump and Barr to give them a chant for Trump's campaign rallies. You can find similar stuff on other right wing sites. Barr talks about "outside radicals and agitators..." exploiting the situation, and Trump tweets that he is going to declare antifa, which isn't an organization, a terrorist organization. Hard to separate the paranoia from the campaign ad.

Responsible journalism, at Fox or anywhere else, might actually look at arrests in Seattle, and see if there are any ties to groups that support violence, or are from outside the area. Because there is a fairly large contingent of the Proud Boys in the Pacific Northwest, and they have demonstrated violently, it could be right wingers or left wingers.

Indeed, some have checked the data. A site called Crosscut examined the 82 protest-related arrests through June 1. Of the 62 where an address was listed, all but two were from Washington, and 54 were from western Washington. Of the 46 arrests where race was listed, 32 were white. Arrests included failure to disburse, burglary, and assault on a police officer.

I absolutely support arresting and charging those who committed assault on an officer or burglary. and I'll throw in arson. I expect that failure to disperse charges will be dropped, they nearly always are. But it is irresponsible for Trump, Barr, Isobars and NW to leap to the conclusion that there is some secretive antifa organization stimulating all of this. Of course, like Michigan, Washington is an open carry state--something that I think is dangerous, particularly to the police and those carrying. But it is profoundly hypocritical to have a cow about open carry people in Seattle around a demonstration over police violence, and ignore it in Michigan where right wing goons threatened the governor and the legislature. But I am not surprised, and the right wing goons are threatening public health officials in many parts of the country.

Tin foil hats indeed.
