Everyone, right and left, ignored the sad fact that agent orange made it easier for the mentally ill to get and keep guns.

Of course whacky Malibu, in the face of more than a dozen mass shootings by white nationalists in the past decade, gets his panties all wet because the Dayton shooter—diagnosed with a mental health issue—registered as a Democrat.

Far more than Dayton you stupid POS...Read some real news , the El Paso killer was outraged by the open border retards at the Democratic debates.

The two biggest mass killings in America did not involve guns.

Can anyone name them?

I believe one easy step would be to revoke gun makers immunity from liability

Then I guess car & knife manufactures could also be liable if they are used for murder. Not apples to apples, but similar logic. Regardless, that type of liability will never happen, not that some politicians would try to make it happen.

Techno...there is a middle man , its called insurance. If gun owners were forced to insure their firearm, it would change the game...

For a large civilized country, having 40,000 people die every year due to gun violence is a big problem, whether you're a conservative or a liberal, you should be alarmed, and want better.... Only Brazil has more firearm deaths than the US.

Perhaps the senseless and intentional killings of innocents is unique to the United States.

To be sure, there are quite a few countries where gun violence is a substantially larger problem than in the United States — particularly in Central America and the Caribbean. Mokdad said a major driver is the large presence of gangs and drug trafficking. "The gangs and drug traffickers fight among themselves to get more territory, and they fight the police," said Mokdad. And citizens who are not involved are often caught in the crossfire. Another country with widespread gun violence is Venezuela, which has been grappling with political unrest and an economic meltdown.
