The bigger S.B. wings don't fit the GT. He ended up getting a front and rear wing and the longer fuselage. Used his mast from the GT

Yep that kettle is 7 knots = 8MPH and 8 knots =9.2 MPH so 8 t0 10 is pretty close.

The 84 wing is 2066cm2 and the Flyer is cambered (and foil specific so tighter leach, etc.). Flying in 7-8 knots (vs mph) is not taking off in same windspeed. Different kettle of fish. Please refer to my previous post. Very Happy

The most frustrating light wind days are those when the wind is rock steady without that bit of puffiness that makes getting out of the water easier (or, worse, at all). Of course, these are days that I wouldn't even dream of going off the beach in a normal short or even formula board.

If we are understanding each other - the kettle is taking off vs flying. For a lot of folks starting out, taking off may require 3-4 mph more wind speed than minimum flying speed. For an intermediate, it's a couple of mph at least. I'm aware of the nuances of mph vs kts. since some people like to talk about foiling a 4.5 in 10-15 ... kts. Very Happy

I foil a 4.5 in 3-15 mph a lot of the time.
160 lbs with Naish 122.
Stupid mistake, better in 15 mph gusts to just rig a baggy no downhaul 6.0 for sure.
While 12-15 mph is plenty to foil, anything less is slogging and anything below 5 is pure torture balancing act.
A 4.5 has little counterbalance while slogging, especially with leftover 2' swells from wind 5 miles upwind.
Much easier to slog with a 6....and it gets going in 11mph without 20+ pumps.

Slingshot just announced an Infinity 99 wing designed for Levitator boards (needs tracks for most forward position of the wing).

Last week I foiled on Infinity 84 in 8 to 10 knots of wind with no gusts only because I could pump Severne HyperGlide2 8.0 m sail quite efficiently. It was my first outing with HG2. Remarkable pumping ability because of a whip-like motion of a long mast. Pleasant surprise. Could not pump to get up on foil with Avanti 7.4m with 3 cambers with tightened leech. (I am very close to 200Lb).

Starboard has Supercruiser 1700 and 2000 if you want to stick with SB. However you will need a different fuselage and stab. Millennium (1000 sq cm) race wing works for me on a 115 fuselage in 10 knots with 7.4 sail. Haven't tried it with HG2 yet.
