It starts ok, with a just powered 4.8/90L but although I am the first one out at 3:30 it is still too late, by 4:30 is coming down. I am back to the beach and by 5 pm I look at Rob, David and Bill slogging in in perfect formation... for me is now a solid ... 6.5-7.3. So I go home to work on my Mountain Bike Very Happy

To beat on that dead horse some more..
Fog is in.
No NW flow in the ocean.
Thermal setup.
Go to East Bay or Larkspur.

I know ... I just cannot deal with the traffic! Shocked and Coyote was very good on Sunday once you slogged for 3/4 mile Embarassed ... it is kind of a nightmerish season for the West Bay: right now the Farallon sensor reads 7 knots ... from the south!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Often times, in these conditions, we'd sail Oyster or Tigers..now Haskins. Stick was the worse winds, like Sierra Pt.
Plenty of these condition days, Coyote would just breathe early and die by 4, if no NW coastal wind.
Larkspur is a 12 minute drive from Marina District if no Giant's game. But normally dies at 5, starts at 2. Lark, you onlt need 7-16 at Larkspur reading and highs at 20 for Corte Madera to use 5.5. It's usually too windy for 5.5 if both read 20 in the highs. When either hits 25, it's 4.2 time.

Haskins works on a south-west, yesterday it was a strange NNW ... wind is all over the place. And to be honest I never liked the location ... I used to do ton of Larkspur in summer before TI opened the north harbor. Now that TI is not really reachable from the city Larkspur might come back. It is about 20' from the GG bridge with no traffic but ... if you go any random time after 1:30 pm get ready for up to 45-75'. Coming back can be brutal.

I happy with more MTB. It is so much simpler than windsurfing/windfoiling and it is what the doctor has ordered for the heart anyway! Very Happy

Well, if MTB works for you, keep it up.
I like the trails in GGP from Park Presidio down to the windmills. The Presidio is supposed to be great also, but wasn't really open back in the mid 80's when I left the City for Mt.Tam's trails.
Since you have internet, just check the traffic on 1 N to know drive time to Larkspur. Takes us 30 minutes also, from San Pablo.

Tuesday 5:30 pm foiling at Berkeley.
My longest ever foiling day! One hour on 5.2.
Wind 7-21.
But the fog rolled in mid session and I was wearing a 2 mil short sleeve..br..
Distance covered tripled any of my other 24 days.
Still no good, of course.

John, I thought you've been going to TI by boat. Exclamation

Been very strange at the stick last couple of days windwise...strong early, light late.

Effect of lack of NW coastal wind.
Glen Taylor shared this tip with us Tiger's guys in 1984, then disappeared from windsurfing.
