The executive director of the North Carolina State Board of Elections revealed Monday that state officials had uncovered a “coordinated” and “unlawful” effort to collect absentee ballots on behalf of a Republican congressional candidate in the November election. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard. |

So, SW, if by some miracle there was massive immigration reform which identified all illegals in the country and made them legal (either work permits or path to citizenship, dreamers, etc.), would that discourage or encourage additional illegal entry into the US?
Assuming you are not dumb enough to claim "discourage", then what do we do then about gaining control of illegal entry? It's only about 200,000 per year at the moment, and maybe that's no big deal to you, but somehow, complete control seems necessary.
At every port of entry - on the border, or at shipping and airport terminals, there are plenty of walls, fences, glass windows and guards to maintain complete control. Why can't we do better at our borders where millions have crossed illegally?
And before all the "hate" BS surfaces, my experience with many hispanics, legal and some possibly illegal has allways been good. The majority are hard working and just trying to find a better life. I think we all understand that, but our very porous borders and lax visa enforcment will ultimately have a bad downside if we can't get control.
The left harps on the negatives of a society of "haves" and "have nots". Illegal immigration only amplifies the income disparity. Isn't that a concern for those on the left? |

Crickets on Mexican MAGA hats and Trump hiring illegals. But we can still hear the hypocrisy. And the hate. |

techno900, why do you deliberately keep ignoring what I've said? If American companies and individuals are punished severely for hiring illegal immigrants, illegals won't be able to successfully find work. In the US, if you don't have money coming in, you will not last for too long. It's pretty simple really, and it's much better than a foolish border wall. If you think I'm wrong about this, I welcome your comments.
But let's be frank, there will still be significant numbers of Spanish speaking Hispanic workers in the US doing the work that Americans would prefer not to do. Yet, after responsible immigration reform, these workers will be legally permitted to enter the country and they can be monitored more readily. So in the end for Americans that desperately want to rid our nation of Hispanics, they will most likely be very unhappy that their idea of a white nation just isn't going to happen. |

Facts are emerging about potential election fraud in North Carolina
Quote: | North Carolina’s state election board hearing has revealed even more damning information about potential election fraud in the campaign of Republican Mark Harris. |
|
a worker testifies she was paid to collect voters votes and any that were not filled in or completely she was paid by the Republicans to mark republicans in. and turn them in. It was over 1000. And the Republicans say that it should not be counted against their election that the election should stand winning by 300 votes. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard. |

I am not ignoring you, and I agree, BUT with the reform I suggested, all illegals become legal and employers are off the hook, that is until more sneak in and begin working with stolen ID's or SS numbers. I guess if the government comes up with a full proof system for identifying legal workers, and all the employers use the system (that's a dream), it could all work. However, I am skeptical about that really happening because the country is hooked on the cheap labor and the government (both right and left, state and federal) don't seem to care. |

Even with a more extensive border wall, if we don't get serious with American companies and individuals that hire illegal immigrants, the number of illegals will continue to swell indefinitely into the future. History over time readily proves my point.
As far as assuming that all illegal immigrants currently in the US will receive a blanket approval for work permits, and an ultimate path to citizenship, I think that we need to be strict in the conditions and rules that will open that door. Moreover, I believe that a notable number of applicants could fail the test and find themselves being sent back to their home country. No doubt, I don't think we want to open our arms to folks with serious criminal records. Also, I think that folks without a responsible work history should be denied the chance to stay unless they are being cared for and supported by responsible family members.
Lastly, the idea that Democrats are for open borders and blanket amnesty is a false view. The sooner that fallacy is dumped, the closer we will be to finding a meaningful bi-partisan outcome to our illegal immigration problem. |
