It all seems to be unravelling for the mafia party:

A conservative commentator who was lauded by President Trump this week as “wonderful” and who has argued that past sexual indiscretions should have no bearing on Trump’s presidency was fired from Arizona State University four years ago for making sexually explicit comments and gestures toward women, according to documents and a university official.

An internal investigation by the university concluded that Paris Dennard, a surrogate during the campaign and now a member of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, told a recent college graduate who worked for him that he wanted to have sex with her. He “pretended to unzip his pants in her presence, tried to get her to sit on his lap, and made masturbatory gestures,” according to a university report obtained by The Washington Post.

Certainly what the republicans vote for in a president, because he had not been a reality TV star as trump said only he could grab um by the pussy because of it...

Indicted Republican congressman points finger at his wife

Quote:
After being indicted, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) initially claimed he's the victim of a conspiracy. Now he's moved on to his back-up defense.

Quote:

Former Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), for whom I worked, issued more than 100 subpoenas to the Obama administration. To date, Gowdy has issued a grand total of zero subpoenas to the Trump administration. The OGR Republicans have refused to hold the Trump administration to the same standard of oversight we established during the Obama presidency. The committee’s Republicans have cravenly abdicated their oversight responsibilities, choosing instead to look the other way despite exhaustive displays of waste, fraud, abuse and mismanagement.

From Morning Consult. People will die, but big oil profits will increase.

Quote:
Officials on the independent U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, which inquires into chemical accidents or spills, have been encouraged to reduce regulatory recommendations under the Trump administration, according to insiders at the board. The administration, which declined to comment, has twice sought to zero out funding for the board in its budget requests. (The Wall Street Journal)

The Environmental Protection Agency announced the arrival of five new participants on its seven-member Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee, only one of whom is currently an independent, academic scientist, with most panel members now hailing from state agencies who have been critical of EPA standards for ozone and other air pollutants. The new board composition comes after former EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt issued a policy barring participation on the agency's advisory boards if an individual also receives EPA grants. (Bloomberg)

The Trump administration waived close to 30 environmental laws in Texas to speed up construction of a border wall in Texas' Rio Grande Valley, which follows its waivers from Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act requirements for other portions of the wall being built in New Mexico and California. The George W. Bush administration had also issued waivers from environmental laws to build over 250 miles of southern border fence, but environmentalists are concerned that the latest waivers will impact a state park and a wildlife refuge. More alligators:

A grand jury in Alabama indicted Trey Glenn, EPA Region 4 administrator, on charges of violating state ethics laws when he was hired as a consultant to Birmingham, Ala.-based law firm Balch & Bingham LLP and helped its client Drummond Co. push back against EPA efforts to test and remediate certain neighborhoods. According to court exhibits and testimony, from 2014-17, Glenn worked with Balch partner Joel Gilbert and Drummond Vice President David Roberson, both of whom were convicted in federal court in July of bribing an Alabama lawmaker. Stench of EPA official's indictment scandal reaches Jeff Sessions
Quote:

Rachel Maddow reports on the indictment of Trump’s southeast regional EPA administrator, Trey Glenn, on ethics charges in Alabama and how the scandal, which even reaches as far as ousted Trump A.G. Jeff Sessions, is becoming emblematic of the Trump administration.
