I've got the fuselage set up to have the wing forward/mast back as I like to maximize lift. I'm on the FWIND setup.

I was really surprised to see how controlled it was even with a lot of lift. In the video I'm on a 2 foot mast given the shallow water but have recently switched to the 30inch mast as it's not as scary as the 35.5 inch mast and it doesn't splash out in bigger chop.

Haven't taken it out SUPing yet but can't wait to give it a go!

I'm the same way with lift. I'd rather maintain positive front foot pressure rather than balanced adding rear foot pressure.

Foiled at Candlestick Sept. 5 with the wind average at 13 mph with gusts to 18 and 5 mph lulls. My 4.2 Hucker took flight in the gusts and stayed in the air in 8 mph winds. I felt like I was floating in air during the lulls, barely moving but still above the water..remarkable. I gently pumped the sail and rocked the JP slightly to maintain flight. That giant wing does not want to go down! I weigh 80 kilos, took up foiling last year and will be 69 next month.

Bert, what are you using for a handle? Is it the suction thing for shower doors? Does it stick or fall off? I tried it and it kept sliding off.

Yes, it's the shower/bath handle with suction cups. It sticks for quite awhile but does lose its suction eventually so I tether it to a footstrap ..I don't remove it while I'm foiling. As long as its wet and placed on a smooth flat surface, it will stay attached. If you foil you know how cumbersome it is to get your rig in and out of the water. This makes it easier and saves your back. I do get strange looks from other sailors..I tell them that it's my Maxwell Smart phone to call the Coast Guard Laughing
