Gorge Winter Wonderland

Sleigh bells ring
are you listening
at the Hatch
snow is glistening
A beautiful sight
well be happy tonight
sailing in a winter wonderland

The waters cold and I am freezing
Sitting in the snow
wind shes teaseing

Hot Coffee
I wish we were sippin
In a short time
We will be a rippin
A beautiful sight
well be happy tonight
sailing in a winter wonderland

I carve a gybe the sail snaps around
The ice it shed must weigh a pound

Ice ahead should I panic
never mind this isnt the Titanic
Sailing along
Chattering a song
Sailing in a winter wonderland

Theres a wave I’m going jumpin
Upon the landing
I hear a crunching
Was it the board
I fear Im munchin
A beautiful sight
well be happy tonight
sailing in a winter wonderland

On the beach we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Robbie Naish
Hell say: You know man
my boards are good but theyre a lot of cash

Later on
well conspire
as we dream by the fire
To face unafraid
the plans that weve made
sailing in a winter wonderland

Merry Christmas every one

Great work, Dave. Maybe it helped stir up the karma which created an exceptional (for the season) session out east Sunday. 25-40 mph, small (3-4 feet) but perfect swell, and ... get this ... 60 degrees air temp! Bare hands were completely comfortable, hoods optional, 1mm booties comfortable. Unusual to be getting 8-10 feet of 60-degree air on the Columbia this close to Christmas. De-rigged bareback, after dark, to cool off after getting too warm in our dry suits.

If the great effort you put into your poem contributed to our fun, we salute you.
