Hey everyone,
I was forwarded this message from Brad at Ebbtide Windsurfing at Lake Nockamixon. I thought as a windsurfing community we could all try to help our friends in PA to preserve their lakes.
Thanks,

Please take a moment to read this letter that was sent to us regarding the
possibility of increasing the 10 horsepower limit on Lake Nockamixon. I know
we contacted you approximately a year ago about the same subject, but the
issue is apparently still being debated. (You may have seen this in the
Intelligencer/Record Thursday October 11, 2001)
The time limit is very urgent, so if you can e-mail Gary Smith right away
(before Monday October 15th) at gsmith@dcnr.state.pa.us, with your feelings
on this subject, this will help preserve Lake Nockamixon as a quality
windsurfing site.

Greetings,
I found your address via a Nockamixon web search. I am attempting to
contact groups with a vested interest in keeping the current 10 horsepower
limit intact on Lake Nockamixon. You may already be aware that the PA
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the PA Fish and Boat
Commission are currently soliciting public comments on the subject of
raising horsepower limits on seven Pennsylvania lakes, including Nockamixon.
Written comments, petitions, etc will be accepted until 26 September. It is
my hope that local windsurfers will help protect Nockamixon from the hazards
of unlimited speed and jet skis! Please take a moment to express your
opinion. Pass the info along to any interested parties. There were several
dozen windsurfers at Tohickon Boat Access just last Sunday; Im sure many
of them were your customers!
Thanks for your time, and please feel free to contact me with any comments
or suggestions. Comments to DCNR should be forwarded to the address below.
