Hi Gang,
For weeks now the North Pacific High's surface NW winds have been focused west of the California coast. Storm after storm to the north has kept the NPH to far away for strong wind inside the Bay. But today then NPH finally makes its move as a rainy cold front departs this afternoon.
The Bodega ocean buoy has already turned from SSW to NW at 24 knots. This means the cold front has passed that location and the NW clearing winds are marching towards the Bay. So the NW winds may arrive a bit earlier than forecast I at 7AM.
