Can an individual order replacement parts from Cobra? I've tried to go through the North American distributer with no luck and it's not a warranty issue. The part is even generic across brands but not common.
Thanks,

I dont think so. When I inquired with a US Distributor , who COULD make a order along with his huge board order , the price for fins was so high it was absolutely not a option.
Since you don’t want to make this known publicly , PM me if I might help. _________________ K4 fins

Maybe Chinook or Fiberglass Supply have what you need? They both have tons of fin boxes, mast boxes, vent plugs, footstrap inserts... Not sure what else you might be looking for? _________________ formerly known as hodad.andy

Raceboard mast track to retrofit an Equipe. I can get one for an RS:X but I think it may be shorter than ideal. |

I doubt the Cobra factory would have parts for a 25 year old board. Cobra manufacturers boards for many of the board companies. You may get lucky by calling some of the older Mistral distributors that are still around to see if they have old parts: like Istmus Sailboards and The House.
Maybe better off spending your time figuring how to retro-fit the RSX track or if you have the old Mistral track- rebuild parts for for it with a 3D printer or CNC machine at a machine shop. |

I can get replacement Mistral parts, that's not what I'm proposing. I'm looking to replace the assembly with modern components found on many Cobra built boards such as the Phantom, RSD2, RS:X etc.
I prefer the notch setup of the modern boards to the cable and pulleys used by mistral. I could probably as a last resort manufacture something similar but my experience is that you end-up spending the equivalent amount of time to 2-3x the cost for an end product that functions slightly worse.
Thanks,

What I understand is the parts are the masttrak of a current Cobra boards.
What i feel you needs to do is find a distributor who can order this when they order Boards. Shipped to them then to you.
My recommendation is Matt Prichard. Write Prichard Bros off their website.
Mention some clown from Colorado say to contact him. _________________ K4 fins

Probably your biggest hurdle would be proprietary agreements that Cobra has undoubtedly signed with different brands regarding the use of more complex components. I serious doubt that Cobra manufactures component assemblies like adjustable mast tracks or retractable centerboards. I'm sure these kinds of products are subcontracted out. The real question is who owns patent(s) or design rights. It could very well be the brand, or a subcontracted third party that has agreements with a few different brands, that delivers the assemblies to Cobra as buyer-furnished materials. |

+ 1. Ask the company, not the board producer. |

Given that every modern board with an adjustable track seems to use the same hardware it must cone from a single source. I'm not really sure how to go about finding it though.
NP will sell an RS:X track but I'm unsure it's long enough. |
