... unless of course this extra surface on the leeward side is created by the blubber. Like skin surfaces are identical and flat, both on leeward and windward sides. And only bladder moves to the leeward side, so effectively making a curved profile, and hence no bladder on windward, the windward side is flat. Something like that?

Nothing sells sails like seeing people having a blast on them. I'll be back
in Hood River in May of 2018 for the season. PM me around then and
we can arrange to have 2 of them sent for Demos for the season. My friend
and I will advertise for you and ride your sails at all the most popular
launches in the Gorge (Hatchery, Doug's, The Wall), and when people
see us ripping the swells on them they will want to know how to get some.

Rigging will probably be an issue, because most of us can rig 3 sails in
"under 10 minutes", but they will get a lot of exposure while being rigged
on the beach.

Wondering, am I, why 5.8. Since they can withstand essentially any wind
range and plane in light winds, why not 7.5 or ....... 4.2.

-Craig

p.s. I'm also interested in what kind of hangtime we can get out of a
real wing shape, so we will jump the heck out of your sails, and test out
their durability (when we crash).

Hangtime is directly affected by how horizontal you can hold the sail near zenith. Sail design has almost NO affect. Setup is everything.

"Have you seen the place where I rig? Its dirt, rocks and some occasional grass."

Well, in your videos that I watched (a wind protected grassy area and on an indoor sail making table), there was none of the dirt, rocks or unsettling wind to be seen. I'm sure that a video made in ugly windy conditions with no assistance from others would be telling, particularly taking it apart all wet and all covered with dirt or sand. Needless to say, I can't see getting out of the task of having to fully rinse and clean the sail components after each use in ugly conditions.

I doubt wing sails serve any purpose at such venues. Would you autocross a 1965 Lincoln Continental?

Tell that to Dale Cook. His tight-leeched Huckers were designed expressly to extend his hangtime. They weren't even intended for sale to the public.

I can't even carry three sets of $#!+ to the rigging area in 10 minutes ... especially when it's blowing and those minutes feel like hours.

I once skidded to a halt in a parking place at a windy venue where some guy was already rigging his cammed slalom sail. I was LAUNCHING before he even finished rigging and tuning his frigging cammed crap.

OTOH, since these monsters are a one-sail quiver, we can rig before it blows rather than waiting for the wind to build and plateau before picking a sail. Every design tweak in every component has its pros and cons.

Also, if the windward side of the sail is flat and the leeward is curved doesn't that mean that one has a bigger surface than another?

I'm no mechanical engineer, but isn't that (longer path thus higher speed around the curved side) the whole point of aerodynamic lift around a thick foil ... i.e., a wing? ... obeying Bernoulli's principle?

Couldn’t you leave both sides of sail zipped together ? Make the baldder zip in as well. That way all you ahve to do is stick the mast in....sort of like a wide sleeved slalom sail. Downhaul...inflate..and go. Only would need to unzip, to make repairs.

I see this sail as a prototype...with great potential.
