i have a higback harness, can the higback hold me back from going faster at all? i am interested in higher end speeds and im not sure what the advantage is to each one. |

generally seat harnesses are for raking back the sail for slalom speed sailing, and waist/chest are for waves and bnj. |

yeah, somewhat. Its a bit of a personal preference.
For slalom, I like my boom high. When its raked back its about shoulder height. I like being locked in with shorter harness lines, and a seat harness.
For BnJ & waves I like it about chest high (lower than shoulder). Since I am hooking/unhooking more in this case, the waist harness and lower boom height makes it real convenient. |
