My weight is 165 lb and I have a Techno 283 and 6.7 and 5,9 sails. I am planning to get a 5.0 next month but I still use the same fin that comes with the board ( 46 or 48 cm, I think): should I consider getting a smaller fin? if yes , which size would you recommend?

Thank you!

I have checked and the right size of my present fin is 48 cm. And I forgot to say that I am still a beginner/early intermediate...would that affect anything? I mean, for that level, to keep a bigger fin would make things easier?

Thanks

Phil means that if youre
planing in the straps, the board would be looser (easier to turn and faster)with the smaller fin. If youre not planing, it would be
better to have the larger fin to be more stable and go upwind easier.
